Marylisa Leffler and the Rolling Acres Show Stable from Brookeville, Maryland also found themselves in the winner’s circle for two consecutive weeks.  Leffler won the opening $25,000 CWD Grand Prix, Kevin Foster was Champion in the Older Adults Week II and Ashley Foster won the High Jr. Amateurs both weeks on her horse Indy, and she was champion and reserve in the Small Juniors on Brad Spragg’s horses during Week II.  “This is my daughter’s last year to ride the Juniors and she did really well,” commented her mother and trainer, Patty Foster.  “My husband Kevin was champion in the Older Adults and that made it possible for him to drive all of the equipment home,” she laughed.  “We started with Bob’s shows in Pensacola and we finished our winter season back with Bob again in Atlanta,” she added.

Now we pack up and head to Atlanta for two weeks, then home to Maryland!

Whew! We Were Lucky!

Last week, some areas of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia got hit with heavy snow and wind. After the warm days we had been having here in Brookeville, MD we not only didn’t want the snow, but we weren’t mentally ready for it! Luckily, it was mostly just a wet, wintry mix. The temperature was just above freezing and the earth was warm enough that we didn’t have any accumulation. The horses were also able to enjoy a nice, quiet day around the barn! Now, we are back in action! With today being in the low-60’s, we are thankful. Our southern counterparts will be heading back to Maryland towards the end of this month, and we are ready for them! If you are looking for a top-notch hunter/jumper boarding, training and lesson facility for this spring, please check us out! You can visit our website here: rollacresshowstables.com

Have a great day,
