Some of the results from the Pennsylvania National Horse Show are in! Rolling Acres riders did well and continued to show the hunter world what Rolling Acres is all about!

In the Small Junior Hunter 16-17 Under Saddle class, Ashley Foster riding Sin City, owned by Annie Friedman, came in  1st  place winning the entire class! Way to go!

In the Small Junior Hunter 16-17 Over Fences division, Ashley Foster riding  Sin City placed 4th,
Ashley Foster riding Turtle Bay placed 6th and Annie Friedman riding Now How Z placed 11th. Nice job ladies!

In the Small Junior Handy Hunter 16-17 Over Fences class, Ashley Foster riding Turtle Bay finished with a 3rd Ashley Foster riding Sin City  finished in 5th place. In the Small Junior Hunter 16-17 Over Fences class,  Ashley Foster riding Turtle Bay placed 4th and Ashley Foster riding  Sin City placed 5th. Great riding!

Allison Bergmeyer riding Mcgwire didn’t pin in the Large Junior Hunter 15 & Under, but rode very well and made us all proud!

In the Large Junior Hunter 16-17 Over Fences class, Hannah Showell riding Axtrex finished in 10th. Way to go!

In the Large Junior Handy Hunter 16-17 Over Fences class Alyson Gurney riding The Golden Compass came in 8th place and Hannah Showell riding Axtrex finished in 12th. Great job!

Also, we wanted to let you know about the “Buck Breast Cancer” event to be held in honor of Laura Pickett at the Washington International Horse Show again this year. Capital Challenge Horse Show Results AND a New Baby!!

Lots of exciting news in today’s blog!! Keep reading below to find out all the latest happenings at Rolling Acres.

First off, we have wonderful news to announce…one of our past riders just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl this past week! We would like to welcome Grace Ya-Mei Duvall into the world on October 2, 2013 at 12:17 a.m. to parents Jayne Tung and Paul Duvall. Patty will have a lead line pony ready by the end of next week  🙂

Last week, Rolling Acre riders were at the Annual Capital Challenge Horse Show.
On Thursday, Oct. 3rd, in the Children’s Adult Jumper 1.15m 11 2a class, Devon Monroe riding Shinkansen finished with a 6th place, out of 51 total riders!! Whoa! Congratulations to Devon!

On Friday, Oct. 4th, in the Large Junior Hunter 16-17 Handy Hunter class Hannah Showell riding Axtrex finished  4th, Alyson Gurney riding The Golden Compass finished 7th, and  Ashley Foster riding Sand’oro, owned by Westwood Farms, LLC , finished in 8th. There were 25 total riders in the class. Great job ladies!!

In the Small Junior Hunter 16-17 division, Ashley Foster riding Sin City, owned by Annie Friedman, finished in 1st and  with a 2nd place. Riding Turtle Bay in the same class, Ashley finished with a 3rd and with a 6th.

Also, with some exciting news,  Ashley Foster and Sin City, owned by Annie Friedman,  tied for Grand Champion Junior Hunter AND Best Junior Rider at the Capital Challenge show! WAY TO GO ASHLEY!!

Baby Emily’s Baptism & Capital Challenge Horse Show Results

The Indoor Arena took on a different look on Sunday, as we celebrated the baptism of baby Emily. Instead of jumps, there were tables of great food and many family and friends of Reyes and Noemi enjoying the wonderful weather. 

And we can’t forget about Capital Challenge Horse show!! Congrats to Hannah Showell for winning Reserve Champion 16 year old Equitation division at Capital Challenge!! We are so proud of you and your excellent riding!

Also, in the Open Equitation 3’6” division, Ashley Foster riding All The Right Moves, owned by East Coast Sport Horses, LLC, finished in 4th! Way to go Ashley! 
In the Capital Challenge North American Flat Equitation Championships Hannah Showell riding Axtrex finished in 8th. Nice job Hannah!

Ashley Winning BIG; Mary, Annie and Devon Riding Great!

Ashley had a really great show this week at the Southeast Medals Finals in Jacksonville Florida!! We are very proud of her and all she has accomplished! Keep reading below to find out some of her awesome results:
In the Junior Hunter division, Ashley Foster riding Whiskey Blue, owned by Douglas Wheeler,
won 2nd in Over Fences , 1st in the Handy, 7th in Under Saddle and was Champion of the division! They also won a 1st in the Low Hunter division! In the PLAT PERF/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, Ashley Foster riding Leena L finished with a 3rd.
In the Emo Championship, Ashley Foster riding  Leena L finished in 2nd. In the Land Rover 3’ Medal class, Ashley Foster riding Axtrex, owned by Paulexi, LLC, won 1st place! In the Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper High class, Ashley Foster riding Indy finished in 6th place. In the Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper Classic Ashley and Indy won 1st!! Ashley was also winner of the Regional’s ASPCA on Leena L! Way to go Ashley!!
Also, Mary Lisa was 13th in the Columbia Grand Prix on Saturday! Way to go Mary! She was riding Denicheur Van De Donkhoeve, owned by Paulexi LLC.
Annie Friedman  did very well with Fancy, and was 4th ! Devon Monroe riding Shinkansen was 8th in the Children’s Jumper there as well. Great riding ladies!

2nd and 3rd in the MHSA Finals for Brianna & Alyson!!

Congrats to Brianna Sims and Alyson Gurney on 2nd and 3rd in the MHSA Finals!!  Plus Alyson’s horse, The Golden Compass was chosen by the judges as the Best Equitation Horse at the show! Way to go ladies!!

Ashley Foster to Receive Award at Annual Maryland Horse Council BBQ Picnic!!

Exciting news!!

This Saturday, September 14th, Ashley Foster will be awarded the Maryland Horse Industry Board’s Touch of Class Award, presented by the Lt. Governor! This award is in recognition of Ashley Foster’s achievement of a USEF National Junior Hunter Championship with Charade.

All this and more will be happening at the Annual Maryland Horse Council BBQ Picnic to be held at Dodon Farm. There will be live music, a silent auction, games, great food and wine tastings at the new Dodon Winery. Want to come see Ashley receive her award and join-in on the fun?

Ashley Foster Places Top 10 in $500,000 Hunter Prix!!

Sending a HUGE congratulations to Ashley Foster for being one of only two junior riders who finished in the Top 10 in the Hunter Prix. Ashley ended up placing 10th in the $500,000 Hunter Prix Final at Saugerties this weekend!  She rode Charade, owned by Don & Blythe Rupple.  Ashley & Charade were paired in 2012 and they were Champion in the Large Junior Hunters 16-17 at the National Horse Show, Washington International Horse Show, Capital Challenge and the Upperville Horse Show.  She was also the 2012 USEF High Point Award Winner in the Junior Hunter Large 16-17 division.  Charade was sold last year, but Ashley was able to ride again in Saugerties. What a great reunion for the pair!

Coming up: HITS-on-the Hudson VIII Horse Show

The Rolling Acres caravan left early this Tuesday morning for Saugerties New York for the HITS-on-the Hudson VIII Horse Show.  Good luck to Mary Lisa Leffler and Zivago, owned by Kiana Fiore,  as they compete in the Diamond Mills $500,000 Hunter Prix Finals.  Also competing are Kevin Foster with UfoniaP in the $250,000 Hunter Prix Final.  Making the trip as well are Ashley Foster and Annie Friedman with their steeds for the Junior Hunter and Children’s Jumper divisions.

Ashley Foster Champion in Kentucky, Kimmy Saul featured in The Chronicle & Swan Lake Summer Finale Results

Good Morning all!

We have more exciting news to share with you! On August 13th-18th, Ashley Foster rode for Scott Stewart in Kentucky at the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show and was Champion & Reserve Champion in the Large Juniors 16-17. Way to go Ashley!! Also, Tiffani owned by Danielle Stacy was Champion and Perfectionist owned by Rose Hill Farm was Reserve Champion. Nice job!

If you didn’t catch it in the August 26th edition of The Chronicle of The Horse, our own, Kimmy Saul was featured with a beautiful photo for being the Circuit Champion in the Adult Amateur Hunter 18-35. Congratulations Kimmy!

Rolling Acres riders also competed in the Swan Lake Summer Finale on August 25th and did exceptionally well!

Robin Feldman riding Prestige in the Pre-Adult Hunter Over Fences won a 1st, a 4th and a 5th. Nice job!

Ashley Foster riding Face Time, owned by McKenna Scott, rode in the OPP Easy Does It Hunter Over Fences and won 1st, 2nd, and 2nd, and a 1st in Under Saddle. Congrats to Ashley as it was this pony’s very first show!

Ashley Foster riding Sgt. Pepper, owned by Connie Mcrill, won 5th in the Gittings Horsemanship Medal. Way to go!

Kevin Foster riding Ufonia P in the Adult Amateur Hunter 35+ Years Over won a 1st, 1st, and 5th in Over Fences and a 3rd in Under Saddle! Nice job! Kevin Foster riding Nikita in the Adult Jumpers 1.10m class won 1st place! The pair also won a 4th in the Adult Jumper Classic NAL/WIHS/M&S. Kevin Foster riding Lorca De Caryan in the Adult Jumpers 1.10m class won two 2nds. Great riding!

Bethany Frick riding Pacifica in the Pre-Adult Hunter Over Fences won a 1st, 2nd, and 4th, and in the Under Saddle class won a 2nd. Awesome job!

Annie Friedman riding Nerazzurro won 1st in the Children’s Jumper and a 2nd in the Children’s Jumper Classic NAL/WIHS/M&S. Way to go!

Annie Friedman riding Abitibi Blues in the Children’s Jumper won a 2nd and in the Children’s Jumper Classic NAL/WIHS/M&S won 3rd place! Nice job Annie!

Alyson Gurney riding Delphine in the Children’s Hunter 15-17 Over Fences won a 1st, 4th, and 5th, and in the Under Saddle class won a 4th. Also, they took 1st in the Gittings Horsemanship Medal!! Awesome!

Hannah Showell riding Axtrex in the Children’s Hunter 15-17 Over Fences won a 1st, 2nd, and 2nd, and in the Under Saddle they finished with a 3rd! Way to go! Also, in the Gittings Horsemanship Medal the pair finished in 2nd!

Sandra Humenik riding Art of Deception in the Pre-Adult Hunter Over Fences got a 2nd, 5th, and 5th. Awesome job!

Addie Jabin riding Luigi in the 1.0m Jumpers won a 1st and a 2nd. Excellent Riding Addie!

Connie Mcrill riding Sgt. Pepper in the Adult Amateur Hunter 35+ Years Over Fences won a 2nd, 4th, and 4th, and in the Under Saddle finished with a 5th. Congrats Connie!

McKenna Scott riding Barney in the Opportunity Short Stirrup  placed 2nd in Walk-Trot, and 1st in the Walk-Trot-Canter class. They also got two 2nds in the 18” Over Fences classes. Yay McKenna!
