• Classic & Dorlie Burke: Champion A/O 3’3” Older Hunter; Grand Champion A/O 3’3” Older; AND won the $25,000 A/O Hunter Classic.

• Back In The Game & Ashley Foster: Reserve Champion Green 3’ Hunter; 3rd in the $25,000 Winners Stake

We wanted to take a minute to share with our readers some of our most frequently asked questions, so prospective clients and friends can get a better idea of our program here at Rolling Acres!! What discipline does Rolling Acres Farm do?

Rolling Acres is an “A” Circuit Hunter-Jumper barn. 

What shows do you go to?

We go to the Florida  Circuit from January to April, starting in Venice then in Ocala. We also go to the Vermont Summer Festival. We show locally at Swan Lake, Culpeper, McDonogh, and other sites in Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Please check our Upcoming Show Page for our current schedule.

My child is new to riding, is Rolling Acres a good place to start?

Our program is more for riders ready to lease or who already own their own horse or pony and compete at shows. We recommend beginning riders go to a facility with a lesson package program. You can check www.equiery.com for locations in Maryland.

My child has been taking lessons and is ready to move up.  How do we see if we’d fit with Rolling Acres?

We request all prospective new clients come take an “Evaluation Lesson” to see if we would make a good team. You can call Patty Foster at 301-461-7159 to schedule the evaluation.

I’m an adult who has ridden in the past or currently shows in the A/O Divisions.  Would Rolling Acres fit me?

We have a great adult program. We ask everyone to call for an “Evaluation Lesson” so that we can see if our program would fit your needs. At that time, we can assess together if our program is what you are looking for.

Do you have horses to lease or sale?

Yes, we have horses available to lease or purchase. Please call Patty Foster at 301-461-7159 to find out what we have available at the time.

Do you rent horses?

We do not rent horses for trail rides or for hourly rental.

How much is board?

Board is $950 for the Arena Barn or $875 for the Stone Barn per month.

Do you have field board?

We only provide stall board at this time.

Do you allow outside trainers at Rolling Acres?

Rolling Acres has 4 trainers currently on staff and we do not allow outside trainers onsite unless it’s for a sponsored event, such as a clinic.

Can I barter stall fees or lessons for work?

Due to insurance constraints, we do not allow working students at this time.

Good morning all! Here are the results from the Maryland Horse and Pony Show held at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. We won some very special awards this week!

-The whole crew at Rolling Acres won the Bon Bon Pereptual Trophy for Sportsmanship for the entire show!  This award is a huge honor and just highlights what an amazing team we have!!

-Lola Schumpert also won the Sportsmanship Award!

-Ismael Fuentes won Best Turned Out Horse Friday (with Penn) AND Saturday (with Pablo)!

-McGwire and Candace Ourisman were Reserve Champions in the Pre-Adult Hunter Division and were 7th in the Pre-Adult Hunter Classic

-Clean Slate and Caitlyn Hill were Champions in the Large Children’s Pony Division and were 7th in the Children’s Pony Hunter Classic

-Kingston and Fielding Stichman won the Pre-Children’s Pony Hunter Classic

-Sienna and Reagan Williams were 2nd in the Children’s Hunter Classic

Good morning all! Here are results from the Quentin Fall Horse Show held at Swan Lake Stables in Littlestown, Pennsylvania:

-Clean Slate and Caitlyn Hill were Large Children’s Pony Hunter Champions and were 4th in the Children’s Pony Classic

-Breakout and Danielle Vileno were Adult Amateur Hunter 36-49 Reserve Champions

-Pura Vida and Gen Cullen were 3rd in the Children’s Hunter Classic

-Capitol II and Bari Friedman were 4th in the Low Jr/Am Jumper Classic

-D.A. Vittoria and Dawn Vileno were 5th in the Low Jr/Am Jumper Classic

-Contador and Jen Mehalko were 3rd in the High Adult Jumpers
