Good morning!
We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and Father’s Day. The Rolling Acres team didn’t compete over the weekend, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have exciting things to share with you!
First, we want to send out our support and ask for your support for our very own, Kori Pickett, who is participating in the upcoming Susan G. Komen 3-day event. Kori is doing it in memory of her mom, Laura Pickett, who was such an important part of Rolling Acres. Anything you can do to support Kori would be greatly appreciated! Also, the farm did a a surprise 60th wedding anniversary party for Samuel & Janice Nicholson(Patty, Mary & Pam’s parents). The party was held in the indoor arena and everything looked great. They told them it was a “Barn Party” and the theme was a Sock Hop! Needless to say, they were very surprised!
Pam made a wedding cake and we used the cake topper from their original wedding from 60 years ago!
Sheryl did a life size photo of them at the alter!
Pam’s daughter, Kimmy Saul, flew in from Texas to surprise Janice. Do you think she was surprised?
Many longtime friends came to help celebrate
We even had Kori Pickett here from Texas as well. She surprised her father by coming up for the party as well!
We even got a picture of our photographer, Sheryl!
Pam baked ‘a few’ things (and the wedding cake too) for dessert
Brownie Bites, Cheesecake Tarts, Key Lime Tarts, Deep Dish Apple Pie and Peach Cream Tart (under glass that you can barely see)
Samuel saying a few words to everyone. They even had a recording of the original wedding on a record so everyone got to hear their vows again!
Thanks to everyone for all of your help in putting this together! And of course, special thanks to Sheryl Sutherby for the fantastic photos of the party!
